We take industrial projects and expansions in Tamil Nadu through environmental clearance under the EIA Notification, 2006, from our offices in Chennai and Tiruvallur. We settle whether the project is listed and in which category, prepare the application, and follow it through appraisal until SEIAA Tamil Nadu or MoEFCC decides.

Category check
Whether the activity is listed in the Schedule, and whether it is Category A, B1 or B2.

Form 1, with Form 1A for building and construction projects.
Appraisal follow-up
Category A at MoEFCC and the EAC; Category B at SEIAA Tamil Nadu and the SEAC.
Expansions
Checking whether an expansion triggers clearance, even where the original facility never needed it.
Where applications go wrong, and what we check
- Borrowing a category. Scale and location can move a project between categories, so read the Schedule entry for this activity.
- Using the construction row for a factory. The building and construction band does not apply to a manufacturing process.
- Treating B2 as exempt. B2 still needs clearance; it only skips the EIA report and the hearing.
- Starting work, then applying. Clearance comes before construction or land preparation.
