Forest land diversion
Prior approval to use forest land for a non-forest purpose, under the Van (Sanrakshan Evam Samvardhan) Adhiniyam, 1980.
Wildlife recommendation
For a project in or affecting a sanctuary, national park, tiger reserve, conservation reserve or eco-sensitive zone.
Land status check
Forest records, legal status, any deemed-forest question and existing rights.
Roads, lines and pipelines
The land the access road, power line or pipeline actually crosses.
Where applications go wrong, and what we check
- Relying on the revenue entry. The revenue description does not settle whether land is forest.
- Leaving out the road or the line. Forest land crossed by access or utilities counts.
- Starting on a Stage-I recommendation. Work waits for the approval itself.
- Assuming environmental clearance covers it. EC does not include forest or wildlife permission.
